What's My Style: Biker Chick

My sweet blog pal Melody-Mae started a "30 for 30 remix challenge" almost a week ago. According to Kendi Lea, who created the challenge in 2010, the premise is as follows:


 Since I'm allowed to wear jeans to work every day and only dress up for church and hardly ever buy clothes, I found this "challenge" a bit laughable. Melody-Mae asked me to join in, but I politely declined because I was too lazy  too self-conscious about my body  too camera-shy to participate. However, watching her over the past few days and how she mixes and matches with stylish ease, got me to thinking about my own clothes. What exactly IS my style? If I had limitless funds, what would I buy to fill my closet? Well, that's when the idea for a new blog series hit. Now, along with Pet Peeves, Skulls and Skeletons, and Tuesday's Tune-Ups, you'll see my fashion faves in What's My Style.

  2. I wish I was brave enough. I think I rotate through my same 10 shirts and 4 pants. If I liked to shop I think I would still buy my same baggy shirt jean style clothing.
    Does that mean I need to change it up a bit?

    second, you must have read these last couple of days that the hardest part of this challenge is the picture taking part...how the heck do these people get those great pictures of themselves??

    I like your biker chick look...even though it is not me, I think it looks great on certain peeps!
    If I could I would totally wear dresses and skirts everyday, but I could just see my hubs looking at me funky when I came down in a skirt to do the laundry...BAHAHAAAAA!!!!

  5. Oh love it! I'd quite like to give that outfit a whirl - but living in the tropics I don't get to even wear long pants much at all! I'd have to hide in the air-con to get away with all that! :)

  7. Add some brass armbands, an aviator's helmet and a telescoping monocle and this would be a bangin outfit for the cover of a steampunk novel!

  8. I love the outfit, especially the boots!

    Just went through one of my closets last week and briefly re-discovered my leather pants, long & short leather skirts plus leather jackets along with various suede skirts and more.

    Then I quickly slid the doors closed as I wondered if I'll ever wear any of them again..now, you've got me thinking!

    I can mix & match easily with the predominant color of my daily wardrobe...Black; it goes with almost everything.

    And, it suits my moods...
